Project Details

Why was this project conducted?
The goal of this usability study was to understand how customers were trying to order products off a specific Sherwin-Williams affiliated ecommerce website. Tasks were created for the usability study to understand what areas of the website needed updated in order to become more efficient and easier to use when ordering products. This research would then lead to a redesign of the checkout process based on the findings uncovered.
What was the impact?
Certain aspects of the searching products and checkout process were uncovered to be issues for many participants. These along with some minor inconveniences were presented to stakeholders and findings were prioritized into ratings to see which areas need to be addressed first and which were technologically feasible.

With this research, the business team was able to see which areas need to be simplified and altered for more customer satisfaction and ease of use with the website.
